Fibre Channel Compatible Hardware

The following hardware has been tested and verified interoperable with the Fujitsu 2G Fibre Channel 15K RPM MAX Series hard drives.

FC Enclosures

  • Adaptec (FS4500 12-Bay 2Gbit) - The Adaptec FS4500 Fibre to SATA RAID addresses the high growth, midrange storage market, combining cost-effective SATA technology with Fibre Channel RAID performance and reliability in SAN, DAS, and clustered configurations. It is ideal for reference data and fixed content applications where data availability, throughput and constant access to storage resources are critical. The FS4500 is highly flexible and configurable to adapt to evolving storage requirements with flexible configurations.
  • Adaptec (SANbloc JBOD 14-Bay 2Gbit) - The 2Gb SANbloc JBOD can be scaled in multiple dimensions, enabling flexible configuration of capacity, performance and functionality, to match and grow with virtually any application whether it be throughput intensive like video and prepress or transaction hungry like databases and OLTP. Delivering cost-effective storage to Windows NT/2000 and UNIX environments. The 2Gb SANbloc JBOD is designed for maximum availability, with redundant, hot-swappable JBOD controllers with dual host ports, power supplies, power connections, advanced cooling modules, port bypass circuitry and environmental monitoring, and battery-protected mirrored write cache.
  • Adjile (4U Panther 15-Bay JBOD) - Available Interfaces: Fibre or SCSI; Max. Drive Bays: 15; Drive Channels Fibre 2GB or SCSI 320; Hot swap components: disk drives, Power supplies, cooling fans; Controller Support: 1.
  • Ci Design (Ci 9000 9-Bay 2Gbit) - The Ci 9000 family is a line of economical and flexible storage enclosure. Featuring up to nine fixed or removable drive bays and single or redundant power, the Ci 9000 revolutionizes the tower and 19" rack mountable storage market with sturdy and shock resistant chassis structure, vibration free mechanism, and superior thermal ventilation design.
  • JMR (Fortra 2G15 15-bay 2Gbit) - The Fortra 2G15 is a 2-Gigabit Fibre Channel disk enclosure that has 15 drive bays to provide over 2 Terabytes of available storage. The 2GB Fibre Channel dual paths and cableless backplane reliably provide 200MB per second transfer rates to the disk drives.
  • LSI (DF4000R) - The ProFibre DF4000R storage array subsystems provides a flexible, highly scalable storage solution. Designed to deliver extremely fast access to stored information without compromising data integrity, the DF4000R combines superior performance and high reliability in an easy-to-manage solution.
  • Storcase (Infostation 14-Bay JBOD) - The Infostation Fibre 14-Bay 3U rack mount enclosure is designed to support up to (14) low profile Fibre Channel drives and up to (4) Fibre Channel arbitrated loops (FC-Als) with 2 Gbps operation. Non-proprietary, feature-rich and field-upgradable, this scalable InfoStation® Fibre backplane enclosure exceeds today's drive manufacturers' power, cooling and rotational vibration requirements.

FC HBAs

  • Atto (FC 3305 2Gbit) - The ATTO ExpressPCI FC 3300 2-Gigabit optical Fibre Channel host adapter delivers 200 MB/sec. performance and is versatile enough to transfer high-bandwidth data across distances up to 500 meters using any of the standard Fibre Channel topologies. With ATTO's advanced FC features such as the SNIA API, LUN Masking and Target Mode, the fiber optic ExpressPCI FC 3300 offers more performance and versatility for the money than other comparable products.
  • Atto (FC 3321 2Gbit) - The ATTO ExpressPCI FC 3300 2-Gigabit optical Fibre Channel host adapter delivers 200 MB/sec. performance and is versatile enough to transfer high-bandwidth data across distances up to 500 meters using any of the standard Fibre Channel topologies. With ATTO's advanced FC features such as the SNIA API, LUN Masking and Target Mode, the fiber optic ExpressPCI FC 3300 offers more performance and versatility for the money than other comparable products.
  • Atto (Celerity FC-42ES 4Gbit, Dual Channel, PCIe) - With 4-Gigabit FC speeds of up to 800 MB/sec. per channel, the Celerity FC-42ES is a perfect complement to ATTO's line of 4-Gb FC host adapter products. The FC-42ES takes advantage of the latest in host interconnect technology -- PCI Express -- a serial, high-speed connection that supports the most demanding application requirements including high-definition video, rich content databases and other high-bandwidth environments. With software-compatible with existing PCI and PCI-X products the FC-42ES uses the same device drivers as the other Celerity FC family products, simplifying user installation and support. ATTO Celerity host adapters are an integrated family of advanced storage connectivity solutions that are designed to provide reliable connectivity, intelligence and scalability.
  • Atto (Celerity FC-42XS 4Gbit, Dual Channel, PCI-X) - The ATTO Celerity FC-42XS is the next-generation of advanced storage connectivity solutions, leveraging the latest in storage performance -- 4-Gigabit Fibre Channel. The dual-channel Celerity FC-42XS host adapter provides the highest available throughput for Fibre Channel applications while protecting technology investments via backward compatibility with existing infrastructure. With speeds of up to 800 MB/sec. per channel, the FC-42XS is capable of supporting the most intensive data applications, including digital content creation, tape streaming and backup, rich content delivery and complex database environments. To ensure a smooth transition path, the FC-42XS leverages the existing Celerity FC software and hardware architecture, allowing ATTO to deliver industry-leading quality and stable software architecture.
  • Emulex (LP9002L FC 2Gbit) - The LightPulse™ LP9002L Fibre Channel PCI host adapter provides support for 2Gb/s Fibre Channel data rates, delivering the industry's highest performance. The LP9002L features automatic speed negotiation capability which allows complete compatibility with existing 1Gb/s Fibre Channel SANs, while allowing seamless upgrades to higher speed 2Gb/s SANs.
  • Emulex (LP952L FC 2Gbit) - The LightPulse™ LP952L Fibre Channel PCI host bus adapter delivers exceptional performance for open server environments. Based on Emulex's Centaur ASIC, the LP952L features a 64 bit, 66MHz low profile PCI interface and provides the richest feature set available. The LP952L can be configured to support standard PCI slots or the low profile PCI slots used in some thin rackmount servers.
  • JNI (FibreStar FCE-6460-N 2Gbit) - The 2Gbps Ready FibreStar FCE-6460-N is the 2nd generation 2Gbps Fibre Channel host bus adapter from JNI Corporation. The 2Gbps Ready FCE-6460-N features “on-demand” 1 or 2Gbps auto rate negotiation. This enables the HBA to operate in 1Gbps or 2Gbps storage networks, or networks with a mix of 1 and 2Gbps devices. Automatic topology detection simplifies configuration for switched fabric, arbitrated loop or point-to-point environments. The FCE-6460-N has a peak performance throughput of 400MB (full-duplex), and has a half-duplex throughput of ~200MB. In addition, the FCE-6460-N features hardware-assisted context switching which maximizes SAN data throughput and minimizes host CPU utilization, increasing overall SAN performance.
  • LSI (44929H Fibre Channel 2Gbit) - The LSI44929H provides two independent channels that bring Fibre Channel speed to PCI slots requiring a standard-height bracket. It is specifically designed for enterprise and high-availability servers, SANs, clustered environments and remote storage.

  • QLOGIC (QLA2310 FC 2Gbit) - Designed and deployed by major server and storage OEMs, the QLogic SANblade QLA2310 host bus adapter (HBA) offers the high performance of 2-Gbps Fibre Channel (FC) combined with 64-bit, 66-MHz PCI-X. This HBA is targeted for servers in direct attach storage (DAS) as well as storage area network (SAN) environments.
  • QLOGIC (QLA2342 FC 2Gbit) - Designed and deployed by major server and storage OEMs, the QLogic SANblade QLA2342 and QLA2342L host bus adapters (HBAs) offer two independent channels of 2-Gbps Fibre Channel combined with 64-bit, 133-MHz PCI-X. Enabling double Iops with only one PCI/PCI-X slot, the QLA2342 and QLA2342L eliminate traditional host bottlenecks that impede the high performance of 2-Gbps Fibre Channel. This union of the fastest I/O and host technologies creates the perfect balanced solution.
